Honey C

Born in Ottawa, Asian-Canadian hip-hop artist Honey C was raised in an environment of struggle and violence; yet full of love and heritage. With the knowledge of communication came the passion for the compositions she heard, which sparked her passion for writing where she was able to detail her experiences and emotions.

A trailblazer for the Canadian Hip-Hop scene, during her final semester of high school, 18-year-old Honey went viral with the release of a remix music video of superstar rapper Tyga’s hit single, Rack City on her YouTube channel.

The video created an immediate buzz not only for Honey but for the Canadian Hip-hop scene as a whole as the remix found its way to Tyga himself.

This was a monumental moment for the Canadian hip hop scene as until this moment, very few Hip-Hop artists had broken through to the American market, let alone doing it all independently themselves without a management team or proper back end infrastructure.

In late 2012; early 2013, it was announced Honey was signing to Tyga’s label Last Kings.

Fast forward 300 plus shows across the world and more viral smash success with her and Tyga’s Heisman Pt. 1 & 2 videos which totalled over 20 million views on youtube, followed by hits like F*** Yo Feelings, 90s Gold, And Thug Love mixtapes, Honey has established herself as a Canadas most influential female MC

Today, Honey is back in the studio like she never left, working on a progressive and
re-envisioned brand and sound and on her way to reaching even greater heights
